The Autistic Youth Pre-job Training Programme was commenced in 2008. The aim of the programme is to provide pre-job training to the autistic youth in order to increase their chances to get hired. They will be taught a number of skills like interviewing skill and socializing skill. Upon the completion of the programme, they may have the opportunity to have an internship. Being the co-organization of the programme, MSIG took the first step to hire a 23-year-old autistic young man as a summer intern in 2008. Although autistic people may have certain problems in communicating with others, they are perfectly capable of handling routine job duties. This also proves the basic principle behind the programme: autistic people also have the ability to handle job well provided that they are given proper training and a job that suits them.
