2015-03-31
The Society announced the findings of the ‘Survey on the Participation in Community Activities of Preschool Children with Autism’ on 30 March. The results revealed that 65% of parents felt discriminated because of their children’s emotional or behavioral problems. Some parents in deep emotional distress were unwilling to go out with their children. The study also found that longer period of social adaptation and emotional management training for the autistic children would increase parents’ willingness to bring their children out.
